Today started off very slow but ended with a BANG!!! I'm a routine driven person, there has to be routine for everything I do. I'm not OCD, or ODD, or ADD, or ADHD. I just like to do things a certain way. And if they don't go that way my whole day is off. Well this morning things did not go my way. I was late getting to the gym. When I did get to the gym all the treadmills were taken, so I had to use the elliptical which is not part of my routine. I got to work 5 minutes later than usual, I had to park further away from the building. I was late for morning duties. My whole work day was just off. When I was leaving work I was looking for every excuse to stop by QT (convenient store-similar to Tom Thumbs) to buy a comfort food. I guess I thought it would get me back on my routine. One of my co-workers told me I would regret doing it. So instead of stopping by QT, I went home and got myself back on my routines and had a very productive evening. I continued working on our basement, I was able to frame in the closet in the laundry room and hung a few sheets of drywall.
So, this what I have decided, I'm not going to allow my days to dictated by certain routines. I'm going to try to keep a positive outlook on every situation.
I love this quote:
Don't let one cloud obliterate the whole sky.
- Anaïs Nin
Have a great day!!!!!

You know yesterday was off for me in the morning as well, and I usually lose it. But yesterday morning I thought....you know what there is some reason I have had to go back into the house twice after getting all the kiddos in the car for school. Once after getting down the road a bit with the last to drop off. Don't know what the reason was....but I'll roll with that theory, ha! It made for an easier morning if nothing else, being uptight in the AM makes the day rough!
